# Ask AI

> A floating prompt box for quick questions — without switching windows.

**Ask AI** (internally, *QuickQuestion*) is a floating prompt box for a quick
question, a lookup, or a small task — without switching windows or opening a
browser.

## Open it

Press <kbd>⌃</kbd> <kbd>⌥</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd> from any app.

## How it works

    Press <kbd>⌃</kbd> <kbd>⌥</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd> anywhere. An Ask AI panel
    floats up **without stealing focus** from your current window.

    Type anything — a question, a quick task, a lookup — and press
    <kbd>↩</kbd>.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the answer">
    A short answer appears in place, ready to copy with one click.

  Keep questions short and specific — Ask AI is built for the quick "what's
  the flag for…" moments, not long research sessions.
